RAKARU
HEAR OUR STORY
PT Radiasi Karya Timur (RAKARU) is an impact-driven energy service company whose sole focus is to provide the least-cost and demand-responsive energy services to households and businesses. Our mission is to make cleaner and fairer energy usage and distribution. We develop customized products and deliver quality services for a greener environment.
At RAKARU, we believe clean energy is for everyone. Therefore, not only working with urban communities, we also work to unlock energy access for last-mile communities. We light up rural businesses and traditional kampung (villages).
RAKARU's story began with the wondrous Sumba island. The four co-founders were hooked by the shared amazement, and professional experiences of working in Nusa Tenggara Timur particularly Sumba. With the entrenched self-mission of returning to Sumba and growing impacts together with the very warm local communities, the co-founders envisioned to set up a social enterprise centering on energy access – a perennial issue to the vastly scattered and remote communities.
Since its inception in 2021, RAKARU has always been actively engaging in introducing new, cost-effective, and impactful technologies to rural and urban areas in Indonesia with excellent technical capability. RAKARU is unique for being the only company that is able to provide systematized PV technology to the very remote area.
